Ah, the student life. Where you’re supposed to be living on a budget but end up spending everything on food because you’re too lazy to learn how to cook. Worry no more, I am now dedicating this page to easy (and cheap) student-oriented recipes. So whether you’re living alone, at halls, or in the comfort of your own house, you can now fix yourself a very very easy recipe.

Your ingredient list:

  • 2 chicken drumsticks
  • 1 fairly large potato
  • 1 onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 2 pinches of salt
  • 2 pinches of black pepper
  • 2 pinches of basil
  • 1 pinch of paprika
  • 2 tsp of Dijon mustard
  • 3 tbsp olive oil

Today’s recipe is the easiest, like, ever. Start by preheating the oven to 200 degrees (Celsius that is). Next up, dump 1 tbsp of olive oil in an oven tray. Slice the potato into medium sized wedges or strips, then chop the onion and the garlic clove (the garlic must be as thin as possible). Now put the potatoes in the oven tray, season with a pinch of salt, a pinch of pepper and the basil. After that, put the chicken next to the potatoes in the pan, season it with the rest of the salt, the pepper, and the paprika. Spread the dijon over the chicken, and cover everything with the onions and the garlic. Dump the rest of the oil over the whole thing, and shake the tray to spread it.

Your masterpiece should fairly look like this:

Put the whole thing in the over for around 30 to 35 minutes, and there you go, you’re all set to brag in front of your mother of how much of a Gordon Ramsey you are.
